The famous focaccia
Focaccia is known all around the world and originates from Puglia…..fresh tomatoes, oregano and olives needed into a dough and cooked to perfection. The smells of the focaccia will leave your mouth watering!
This makes a perfect antipasto along with local cheeses and a full bodied red wine such as a Primitivo di Manduria or Negroamaro di Salento.
OrecchietteA traditional first course is the “orrechiette” which is pasta made by hand and served with a simple but delicious tomato “sugo” and cooked in the oven.
Spaghetti allo scoglio
For those who are lovers of seafood you most certainly won’t be disappointed, with options such as swordfish, mussels or fresh barbecued fish on the menu!
For the vegetarians there is a wide variety of vegetable dishes in season either grilled, or the traditional eggplant parmigiana which is always a favourite!
